The GSW Writing Center will start working from Monday, January 22 and end the semester on May 7, 2024. The following are the in-person and online schedules:

NOVEMBER 18, 2023
Thanksgiving Hours
We will be closed from November 18 to November 26. However, our online consultant Sarah Slayden will be available for consultations on Monday (11/20) from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., Wednesday (11/22) from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., and Friday (11/24) from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The GSW Writing Center will start offering its services from tomorrow, August 25th. Currently, we will offer only online sessions, but soon we will add a schedule for our in-person consultations as well. From tomorrow, our consultant is available for appointments from Monday through Friday between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. If you have any Writing Center related question, please email the Director at anish.dave@gsw.edu. The GSW Writing Center will be closed during November 20 to November 27 for the Thanksgiving holidays. We will welcome you back on November 28.
AUGUST 17, 2022
GSW Writing Center will begin working from tomorrow, August 18, Thursday. We will work until December 7 this semester. Students can make an appointment for a writing consultation in-person at our location in the library or online using our online system. The writing center will be open for online consultations during the full summer term (June 6 - July 29). We will be open for consultations throughout the week. Our working hours are as follows:

JANUARY 17, 2022
The GSW Writing Center will start working from January 18, 2022. Students can sign up for both in-person and online consultations. While we will remain open for in-person consultations on Mondays and Wednesdays only, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., we will be available for online consultations every day in the week except Thursday. Our online hours vary, but we have hours from 9 a.m. up to 8 p.m. We are eager to work with your writing.
OCTOBER 18, 2021
The GSW Writing Center at the Carter Library will be closed on October 19 due to some library work near the area of the Writing Center. However, we will continue our online consultations. We will resume our work at our physical location in the library on October 20. We regret any inconvenience.

The GSW Writing Center is pleased to start working from August 23, offering consultations both at our location in the Carter library and online through our Online Consultation Module.
Once you log in from the login screen, you will see a screen showing a default Writing Center schedule, which is set to online consultations. However, if you would like to make an appointment for an in-person consultation, select our in-person schedule from a drop-down menu at the top of the screen.
You can sign up for a consultation that is either 30 minutes or 45 minutes long. We look forward to working with your writing! Good luck this semester!

Writing Center Schedule during the Thanksgiving Holidays!
The Writing Center will not be available for in-person consultations in the library during the Thanksgiving Holidays! We will begin again after the holidays. However, the Writing Center will continue to operate online during the holidays. Consultation hours are available in the evenings and also in the mornings. OCTOBER 29, 2020
In fall 2020, the Writing Center will offer both in-person and online consultations. Given the pandemic, the consultations (especially in-person consultations) will be limited to 30 minutes.
For in-person consultations, the following is required:
- An appointment
- A face mask
Additionally, the Writing Center has provided for physical distancing. Please follow all precautions when you're in the Writing Center, including wearing a mask and maintaining recommended physical distance from others.

The Writing Center will be closed during the winter intersession. We will reopen in the Spring semester.
